CPR Certifications

CPR certifications are valid for two years. If you are required to have you CPR certified, renewal is every 2 years. American Heart Association provides 2 year certification for CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, Bloodborne Pathogens and the Friends and Family CPR training program at LifeSavers CPR Training.

Employment

Employees are often required to maintain a CPR certification and we know that it takes more then one class to stay fresh on CPR certification so many first responder classes practice CPR on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis. Always consider a renewal at LifeSavers CPR Training if you feel you’re unsure of what to do in case of an emergency.

American Heart requires that the renewal is every two years, however it is best to go ahead and renew yearly. Your certification expires the last day of the expiration month and year. After two years its time to renew your CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS classes.

Standards

The American Heart Association (AHA) has lead the way for keeping CPR performance standards and guidelines as up-to-date as possible. Current research explains that CPR practices should be refreshed, improved, and practiced on a regular basis. This information is included in all courses at LifeSavers CPR Training moving forward for certification for CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, Bloodborne Pathogens and the Friends and Family CPR training.
